Coming from a background of playing flamenco guitar, bass guitar and drums, Dave Mech has always gravitated towards energetic rhythms and hypnotising atmospheres.

In his techno productions and live performances this combination of influences shows. With a large backlog of playing on stage with bands as an instrumentalist, and as a solo electronic live act, he knows how to get people moving and take them with him on a journey. His sound, consisting of a combination of field recordings and original sound design, can best be described as heavy, forward moving, otherworldly, dark and uptempo with deep atmospheres.

For his live improvisation performances he uses an ever changing combination of samplers, drum machines and synthesizers together with a DJ mixer. With this setup he blends live performance with techniques from DJing. He can play to the crowd and has total control over the sounds, arrangement and flow of his sets.
